KNOCKING DOWN THE WALL OF DISHONOR

Joshua told the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you."

Dedicate yourself to the Lord for He will be bless you; this was instruction from Joshua to the Isrealites. Sometime what may be misunderstood is that instructions from God is sent through His Prophets, Pastors, parents or mentors etc and obeying who has been placed over you, God honors that. In the example of Moses and Joshua which was in the Old Testament before Jesus came and gave us the ability to speak to the Father directly, those people relied on them hearing from God (well they did their own thing so they didn't really rely but that was how God spoke to them) but now we are able to speak to God ourselves in our own time but we sometime allow things to distract us like Netflix, our work schedules, children and miss out on hearing what God has instructed for us to do; we miss out on knowing what steps to take. Although that may happen we still have our authorities and people that are over us giving us instructions as well.

We have somehow along the way of learning and growing missed the fact that although we may havemore education and more knowledge we must still obeying our leaders; when we are in a educational institution there are rules and guidelines to follow, when you get a job they give you the list of compliences and so the Bible is our rule book it is our guildline for life. Our how to's: the bible says honor our father and mother so our days will be long another says so that all will be well with us. If we disobey those instructions all will not be well, there can be spiritual battle or warfare we face that we could avoid if we had not open the door of disobedience.

God has placed different people to rule and have authority over us so we can remain in right standing, we can honor and we can be humble; some of the biggest and baddest criminals when they get arrested change and become the sweetest and most kind person ever; they remember they are under someone and realize that they need them to help them or maybe that they would have favor on them like Joseph had favor when he was imprisoned. Obedience to the systems that are put in place is the way we honor those that has sacrificed to put them there. When we disobedy God and the authority that hasbeen placed and implemented on earth for us we cause distruction on ourselves. A very good example of disobedience and it's consequence is Adam and Eve, each of us are feeling and dealing with those consequences. Similar after 18 years of having a child out of marriage I am feeling it's eefects.
