WHAT DO YOU SEE?

And He said, "Amos, what do you see?"

Amos 8:2

Until you see it you are not entitled to it!

Every destination worth getting to has to first be seen ahead of time.

My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge, they were unable to see. God has declared the end from the beginning, did you get that? The end was planned from the beginning!

Most trips I have been on there has been an itinerary, a plan or a goal of how the trip will go. We are on a journey with Christ and He has a goal for this trip do you? My end goal is to spend eternity in Heaven but there are things we would have to do, to set the pace while here on earth to see that result. I heard an amazing sermon the other day that left a big impression on my life. The topic was on 'Visions' at that point I knew I would have to talk about it again. How long are you planning to live? If you said you did not know nor did I; I realized I had planned a trip without planning how I will get there or how long. There are so many amazing stories in this book that has been provided for us to live by that I never considered that I should have a vision for every aspect of my life.

What really had me is the fact I am a planner and there were so many blank answers of how I would spend my life here on earth. There are three aspects that I would like to point out in this conversation but there many more that we need to consider. The vision of my long life, marriage and health; remember there are more to consider like finances, business, friendships etc. Can you imagine living until you are one-hundred or older? When you thought of yourself at that age what did you look like? I never considered one-hundred because honestly I always thought that as you age you will be in pain, possibly have some sickness or dieases. I am not sure if I had ever considered aging with quality life. Well if you were like me and was thinking the same thing here are a few passages of scripture that can help change that perspective for you and hopefully you can start declaring long healthy life for yourself. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him my salvation-Psalms 91:16 NKJV this is a word for us. We can have a long life but it does come with some decision making though, taking care of the body physically and spiritually as well. Genesis 25:7 said Abraham died at not just a old age but a good age one-hundred and seventy-five that is exciting. There was nothing in scripture saying that he was sick, had any diseases. Then there was Moses who lived until he was one-hundred and twenty, he was still walking and talking. When he dies he actually climbed the mountain where he was buried by the Lord. Does that seem far fetched to you? Well this what God actually wanted for our lives and we should measure ourselves by the stick of those that we can see God's hand on.

For so long when I thought about marriage I thought about the who not the how...did you? How will you live out God's plan for marriage? After so many experiences I had given up on marriage but if we focus on the ultimate goal that Jesus has for us, for marriage this can be easily attained with both partners having the same goal. An example that is scriptural is Jesus and the church in this union that relationship will always be standing. Jesus has to be the foundation of that relationship, what can the righteous do if the foundations are destroyed? If God is not the foundation, the foundations will be detroyed. There is always someone prettier, nicer, has more money, more muscles all of the qualities that normally attract us to the opposite sex. With the help of God and knowing that this person is the best suit for you after having prayed and connecting with wise couunsel to decide on the right partner this makes looking forward to marriage brighter. I am not longer listening to the negative nea sayer about marriage because that is not my goal. I want a marriage that will glorify God and his Kingdom. This is easy when God sends and says...

Additionally, in 1 Peter 2:24 it says Jesus bore our sins on the cross so we can live a life righteous and by His stripes you were healed. I have learned lately to pay a little more attention to grammar in the Bible. It says by His stripes we were- past tense but if we live in divine health we would not have to ask for healing because we will not be sick. There are so many things that can hinder us from enjoying a healthy life and some comes with the things we choose. What we eat or consume regulary. Consuming God's word is apart of building our faith. How will you know what is for you if you hadn't read it? Good health is for us!

This journey is one that should be enjoyable! If we will be here for one-hundred odd years it is best if we are healthy and even better with the right life-partner. It takes some sacrifice to attain these goals but when it is the best result I won't pass it up. Please tell me you are with me on this journey to living to a ripe old age, having a marriage that will glorify God (waiting on God's approval for your life partner) and living healthy.
