KNOCKING DOWN THE WALLS OF DISOBEDIENCE

THE YOUNG PROPHETS DISOBEDIENCE

By the word of the Lord he cried out against the altar: "Altar, altar! This is what the Lord says: 'A son named Josiah will be born to the house of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who make offerings here, and human bones will be burned on you.'"

1 Kings 13:2

There was a young prophet that prophecied something that he was shown by the Lord and the king had sent for him to be seized and immediately his hand was shiveled up. The king asked the prophet to pray on his behalf for healing and he was healed. The king then invited this prophet to his place to receive a gift and a meal but the prophet turned it down because The Lord told him not to eat or drink in the place and to leave a different way than he came...hmmm if we ended the story here I still would have questions but God is all seeing and knowing but I wanted to know why lol. I know you probably did too right?

Anyway, we knew that he got this intruction but another prophet heard he was in town and invited him over to his place for a meal (everyone low key wanted their houses to be blessed from this prophet ey). The younger prophet explained why he could not but the other prophet told him that a angel told him he should come over, I always have some background answer and thoughts to these things. Let me set up the story: God sent you to this church to minister (singing or reading a prayer whatever) but he said don't go with anyone from that church (cause they like take you to dinner) but someone convinces you anyway to go with the to dinnner (at Bamboo lol) but because of your disobedience you were at the wrong place at the wrong time just like the young prophet who was eaten by a lion. We don't know what we are being protected from; had sex with the wrong person and get a disease, went in the wrong car got in a accident.

"Obedience is better than sacrifice"

There was a testimony I heard, someone was looking for a job and applied to two particular places both really nice jobs but one paying more than the other, of course I would want the job that was paying more but the Lord spoke through someone to tell the person that applied to take the lesser paying job...I don't know if this would be a easy obedience. I guess it all depends on who the instruction came from but a few months later the job that was paying more closed and because the person obeyed they still had a job. There are so many examples of being obedient and disobedient but one that is very new and more recent for me was the other day I got a email saying that there was a seat available to do a course that I had applied for but the initial class there would be a speaker that I didn't really want to connect with, already I was turned off saying in my mind that I did not want to do the class or skip the intro; to my surprise that very night I had a meeting as I was preparing to connect to the meeting I read on facebook for that group that the very same person that I did not want to hear in the class would be the speaker for that night hahaha I just laughed and saw what God was doing with me, he was clearing my heart from rejecting the people that He was sending. After that meeting I was so glad I actually went and paid attention because the infrmation that was given was the information that I needed for my business. Look at this let's say I missed that meeting because I did 'feel like' hearing the person speak, I had already send a few emails and was inquiring to different people on how to get some information that I would have missed had I not attend.

Obedience is better than sacrifice.

This was not a clear instruction from God but it definitely was something I had already committed to, so walking away should not have been my option but this is how we can miss out on our blessings. We move with what we feelings(emotions). Are there any areas in your life where you could see that you made some quick decisions and you was able to correct it or maybe you see the mistake and wouldn't make it anymore.

That really had me turned up about this prophet that dies from disobeyed God because he had been persuaded by another prophet to go with him. It's just simple disobedience...well not simple because he died. Man this had me because I could've seen that happening to me we have to be so careful who is speaking to us and giving instructions. Well the younger prophet knew what not to do but did it, you know that gut feeling or strong mind and that thing that said not to do something (the Holy Spirit) trying to remove you from a bad situation but you go anyway (disobedience). Being the wrong place at the wrong time.

Look we don't want to be product of a tragedy and in order not to we have to be connected to either God, the word or the RIGHT covering!
